It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Garner D. Morgan, beloved colleague, esteemed leader, and past President of the Maryland State Dental Association. Dr. Morgan, a proud graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry (DDS ’80), dedicated his life to the practice of dentistry and to uplifting those most in need.
Mission of Mercy is a free two-day adult dental clinic provided by several hundred volunteer dental professionals and volunteer staff.

The St. Mary’s County Health Department has voted the Southern Maryland Mission of Mercy the 2019 Public Health Champion with almost 40% of the votes.
July 27th – 28th, 2018, at North Point High School, 2500 Davis Rd, Waldorf, MD 20603 Doors opened at 6:00 am on both clinic days for patients to register to be screened and treated.
In 2016 we held our Mission of Mercy (MOM) at North Point High School. 738 volunteers contributed 7,316 hours of service to 819 patients. Patients received 6988 procedures with a total value of $1,012,848.
The Western Maryland Mission of Mercy is a two-day dental clinic providing free dental treatment to adults who could not otherwise afford the care.
